We hiked the north route up to Harney Peak yesterday...11.6 miles round trip and 2,200 feet of elevation rise. We're crazy sore today, but it was a great hike! Harney Peak is 7,242 feet and the highest point in South Dakota, as well as the highest point in North America east of the Rockies.
